L. A. Cafe in Waterford

LA Cafe always has quirky, fun things that I feel compelled to buy. It's such an eclectic atmosphere, and it's quiet so you can have a nice conversation. The food is good. The hot chocolate is to-die-for. It's definitely a one-of-a-kind restaurant.

Best place in town! The food and service is exceptional. Just wish I could get a kids version of their mac and cheese! Literally my only complaint. Their coffee is amazing. I don't know what I'd do without my daily dose of LA cafe

I absolutely love this place! Very cute place, great coffee, teas, food, and treats! I love the merchandise they sell and how they support local artists! Beautiful artwork is always up and I almost always see at least one piece has been sold! :)

They always have a clean table to sit at. They are always friendly and genuinely happy to serve you. Their food is great and there’s so many cool things to see!

Very interesting, hip place.The server wasn't sure if it was Pepsi or Coke in the fountain machine when I asked for a mountain dew, as they barely ever sell soft drinks.The coffee style beverages are where it's at here.Pizza was /ok/ even with low expectations.This place is definitely the go to for a weekend coffee.

Fun Atmosphere, LGBT friedly, great service, and the food was delicious! They were hosting an event for HAVEN as well. I support businesses that give back to the community like this. Will definitely return for more quesadillas!

Cool little cafe with amazing food and coffee. Very popular with high school and college kids. Lots of art and handmade items for sale, along with dog treats! The portions are huge and well-priced for their size. The coffee is a bit pricier than I would like, but well worth the extra bucks!

Its like a spencers ate a denny's its got a diner vibe. It has really great vegetarian and vegan food its my favorite restaurant. It has pretty art for sale decorating the walls and little trinkets for sale up front. If there was a designated hippy hangout its here.

My FAVE whenever I am in Waterford! What a surprising and wonderful Haven for all of us hippies! LOL!! Honestly, just go for the delicious and reasonably priced food! A great menu with many choices for most all... Vegetarian, Vegan and Omnivores! Decor is eclectic, through many decades. You just gotta go! And NEVER forget the annual Peacefest!!!

I love coming here! The food is to die for and the staff is always super nice! It’s a really fun place to bring a book and just hang out. I really like that they have multiple vegetarian and vegan options and are always adding unique items to their specials menu!

Favorite spot for a quick bite and good coffee! I really appreciate the vegetarian/vegan options. Great atmosphere, love all the kind servers as well. Whether you're on a time constraint, or looking to stay a bit to read a book, this place will feel like home!

Lovely little gift shop and Cafe. I loved how eclectic everything was from fun gifts to spooky stickers. The food here is delicious and reasonably priced. Photo below is of the impossible burger with their vegan chili and cheese. Absolutely delectable. Also had to snap a photo of the table since they all had photos of stars and I happened to be at my gal Christina Ricci.

Everytime I go I sit at the bar.. they've got an angled mirror that allows you to look out over the street behind very cool! Food is good made fresh to order. If they're open: full menu available.

The steak and cheese sandwich is awesome! My wife and I love this restaurant, they make a variety of good breakfast and lunch dishes. They always have vegan offerings including yummy veganv brownies. The setting is cool and uplifting. They also host some cool community events, I get the impression that the owners care about the community.

I call this a "hippy restaurant." Their food is good and generous. If you are vegan, it's a great spot with lots of options, but they won't shame you if, like me, you love ya some crisp bacon! The scramblers are good and they have nice strong coffee. Most entrees are more than enough, so plan on leftovers!

I have loved this place since I was old enough to drive myself up here! Saturday nights was open mic night and my high school self would come up here and enjoy everyone’s company with some good food and poetry readings. Kept me out of trouble! Now as I’m older I come here to work and eat delicious food! Staff is great and you can always find a great trinket to take home with you. Or a giant peanut butter brownie!! Customer for life! ❤️

Great restaurant with a fun, eclectic interior! They have a variety of food for vegans to meat eaters. Their coffee drinks are delicious, not to mention their cookies and brownies. They also have funny gifts like fun socks.

Just the very best people! The food is amazing, the people are real genuine people from all walks of life. The peacefestival they host every year is something that myself and my friends look forward to every year. You just feel good afterwards and some of the booths sell some of the most unique wares you won't fond anywhere else! Go here and eat!

This is one of our favorite spots in Waterford. We love the staff, and atmosphere. Love the coffee and chai tea. Feels more comfortable and inviting than most places.

Definitely a great place with amazing food for Vegans, Vegetarians and Meat Eaters. Very chill vibe with friendly staff. Also if you are looking for one of a kind gifts you have to stop by. I’d recommend getting one of their amazing coffees and grabbing a brownie for dessert.

The food here is excellent. Everything we ordered looked like it was made intentionally by someone who cares, instead of just slapped onto a plate with a splash of sauce. The environment is quite pleasant too. There’s a lot of stuff hanging around that makes the place feel more like home. Definitely try the specialty type hot chocolates. They’re expensive, but possibly some of the best I’ve ever had.

I was a regular until I moved to Lansing. Now I just slip in anytime the chance arises. The food is delicious, with tasty options for people with or without dietary restrictions. Their specialty coffees are great, with staff that is always nice to interact with. The owners have put together not just a splendid menu, but a solid community in their neck of the woods. Art, quirks, delicious food, and caffeine- what more could you ask for?

Place is my favorite coffee place! I've gone to this place a bunch, and the staff is very talkative and extremely friendly. The environment is like a "home away from home" for me. If you're in the area, and looking for a really great cup in a cool scene: this is the place to go! Also, if you're looking for exceptional food, this is another must for the list.

Fantastic little gem here. The food is excellent with fair pricing and the setting is reminiscent of a hipster artistry diner/cafe. Local artwork is hung from floor to ceiling. The fare offered is varied and caters to a more health conscious oriented person. I was delighted to see they offered many vegan items such as vegan burgers, sliced fruit sides, vegan cheese, and many others choices that are absent from most other restaurants menus. Wait staff was prompt and precise. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Thanks!

A gem of a sit-down place to catchup with a friend or yourself. The ambience is reminiscent of a California hippy lifestyle - making it cozy and charming. The menu caters to mostly healthy selections [California, remember?] and a few non-healthy selections. The staff are friendly and the prices are fair. If you're in the area and have a few hours to kill - pitch your surfboard at L.A. Cafe. 🏄 😎🌴
